The JESS Family of Maybole, Ayrshire |
Our research of this branch of the family has taken us from Porttpatrick to Ballantrae
then Kirkoswald, before the first arrival in Maybole, probably around 1850.
We have come up against the proverbial brick wall in Portpatrick though. This would appear to suggest that the Jess family came from Ireland, but to date we have been unable to find the missing link. DESCENDANTS OF GEORGE JESS |
